Summer festival

In the summer months of July and August, the Work of Charity offers relaxation and recreational fun for children and teenagers.

The children from Merano and surroundings can arrive at the Work of Charity from 7.30am. We offer all meals during the day and organise recreational programmes, games and activities for all age groups. The children get a snack and fresh fruit at 10am and 4pm. Lunch is eaten outdoors at 12.15pm. The children can be taken home between 4.30pm and 5pm. They can also leave earlier or go home alone on parents' request.

Qualified teachers offer language courses in German and Italian during the summer festival. These language courses are free and the teachers use playful methods of language learning that are contagious and motivating.

Every Friday, there is a cookery course with barbecue, preparation of salads and presentation. If the weather is good, "weekend magic" follows at 3.30pm. If you take part in it, you mustn't be soft, as water hose fights and similar are quite normal. An especially creative snack ends the week and arouses expectations for the re-start on the following Monday.
