Living community
The living community is an offer for children and teenagers between 6 and 18 years. It is also open on Sundays and holidays and during the school holidays. There are 11 places in the living community and one place is always reserved for an emergency. Girls and boys live in the same living unit and thus learn to associate with each other in a natural and respectful way. The aim is a return into the family of origin.
The admission formalities for minors and the convention with the family is the first step for the collaboration.
The pedagogical guidance of the teenagers in the living community is based on four pillars:
- personal guidance
- living within a community
- targeted family work
- project-oriented network work
Thanks to specific relationship work the minors learn more about their own history and their development. Diverse group experiences play an important role for the psychic growing and maturing of the teenagers. The pedagogical team channels conflicts, shows understanding and tries to remove disturbing influences. Friendship and trust find a fertile soil that is cared and lived by the pedagogical team as well. The teenagers can develop their social skills with the help of different activities such as sports groups, cultural activities and music projects.
We only show the teenagers a life frame, which they have to fill with their own positive purposes in life in the end. However, the Work of Charity offers guidance and counselling for these purposes in life.
